Hello there!

I’m Laleh and I make illustrations and write stories from my cluttered old desk in London.

Crafts and books always occupied my hands when I was little; as I grew, my love for making small things with weird personalities grew with me. Drawn to the details, I hope my artwork is a delightful invitation to be attentive to the magic absurdity in our world whilst leaping into adventures near, far and out of this realm.

I mostly paint with gouache and ink as I adore the flat colours and bold, print-like details. I also enjoy the freedoms of working digitally from time to time!

At present, I am writing and illustrating my first middle grade novel about a bizarre group of inventors, and a picture book about a newt!

I also publish a newsletter called Mouchi Mail where I share preposterous creations and ideas along the way!
